Dr. Gabi Dolff-Bonekämper, Professor

Gabi Dolff-Bonekämper studied from 1971 to 1984 History of Art, Christian archeology and Romance languages (French) at the University of Marburgand at the University of Poitiers and the Centre d’études supérieures de Civilisation Médiévale (CESCM). 1984/85 it was in Marburg at Hans-Joachim Art and Heinrich Klotz with a thesis on the history of the monuments in Hesse doctorate.
From 1984 until the end of Funkkolleg Art in 1985 she was an editor at the German Institute for Distance Learning (DIFF) at the University of Tübingen. After that, she taught until 1988 at the University of Stuttgart, where she worked on a digital project for the Institute of Art History.
From 1988 to 2002 she worked at the Berlin Monument Authority and at the Getty Conservation Institute in Los Angeles from late 2001 to early 2002.
From 2002 to 2005 she was a visiting professor at the Institute for Urban and Regional Planning (ISR) of the Technical University of Berlin. Since 2005 she has been a professor in the field of Historic Preservation.
